Dr. Selina Velasquez
Dr. Selina Velasquez is an Arizona native from north Phoenix. She received her Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness Sciences from Arizona State University in 2010. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State University in 2014. Dr. Velasquez completed an emergency focused rotating internship following graduation with the Emergency Animal Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Velasquez has worked in emergency and critical care strictly since then. Aside from clinical practice, she enjoys mentorship of young veterinarians and helping to make veterinary medicine a more positive space. Dr. Velasquez looks forward to collaborating with our internal medicine specialist, Dr. Ford, on these goals.
Outside of work, Dr. Velasquez enjoys spending time with her husband, their two daughters, and their two pugs. Her Christian faith is an important foundation in her life, and she is actively involved in her church and values opportunities to serve her community.
In her free time, she also enjoys strength training and maintaining an active lifestyle.
